Torch VFX
This week, I remade the torch VFX whose files I lost last week. There's no easy way to upload videos on Itch.io, so here's an image of my effect instead (the photo is taken when I detach from the player character and move around in free space):
I also imported torch idle and torch carrying animations for my player from Mixamo and attached the torch mesh (which I quickly modeled in Maya) and the torch Niagara effect to the player. I'm not completely happy with how it looks in-game, but I'll move on to something else for now.
Japanese Temple Generator
Another thing I worked on is the japanese temple generator in Houdini.
I've finished the lower roofs and also started adding floors:
